Tour Programme : 13 Days /12 Nights
Destinations : Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Varanasi, Bhubaneshwar, Puri, Kolkata.
Day
- 01 : Arrival Delhi
On arrival at the airport greeting and assistance by our representative and
transfer to hotel. After breakfast tour of Old Delhi visiting Raj Ghat and Shanti
Vana - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid
and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.
Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's
Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu
Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat
Buildings in New Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day - 02 : Delhi Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay
at the hotel.
Day 03 : Jaipur
After breakfast visit Amber Fort on elephant back like Maharaja. Amber Fort
is the ancient capital of the State. Visit Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory
glittering with mirrors
Afternoon tour to New Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour
coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince. Built by Maharaja
Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's
City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal
& through the pink rose residential & business areas.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day - 04 : Jaipur Agra

After breakfast drive to Agra en route visiting Fatehpur - Sikri. Fatehpur
Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned
after 12 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including
the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. Overnight
stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Agra Vanarasi
After breakfast visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the 5th Moghul Emperor
Shahjahan in 1631for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains.
Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public
and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itma-ud-Daullah built by Empress
Noorjehan in memory of her father. Check-out at 1200 hrs. Late evening transfer
to railway-station for Varanasi. Over-night on board in train.
Day - 06 : Varanasi
On arrival at Varanasi railway station greet n - meet by our representayive
and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07 : Varanasi Bhubaneshwar
Early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from
ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the
rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where
funeral pyre burns day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in
Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from
the cycle of birth and death. Check-out at 1200 hrs. Evening transfer to railway
station for Bhubaneshwar by night train. Overnight on board.
Day
- 08 : Bhubaneshwar
Arrival at Bhubaneshwar railway station, meet and greet by our representative.
Transfer to hotel. Day free. In this city, you could visit the temples of
- Lingaraj, Rajarani, Mukteswar, Brahmeswar and Parasurameswar. These temples
are some of the best specimens of the Orissa Temple Architecture. Overnight
stay at the hotel.
Day 09 : Bhubaneshwar Puri
After breakfast drive to Puri, enroute visiting Konark, the beautiful Sun
Temple at Konark, built in the 13th century in honour of the Sun God, contains
exquisite carvings, life sized lions and elephants, colossal figures of warriors
on horses, scenes of battle & chase - all carved with great imagination
and skill, testify to the high standard of ancient Indian art and engineering
skill. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day - 10 : Puri
After breakfast day at leisure for exploring this Temple town. Puri is one
of the most important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. The renowned Jagannath
Temple built in the 15th century AD and crowned with Vishnu's wheel and flag
dominate the landscape at Puri. The temple with its elaborate carvings and
moldings are very fine examples of Orissa architecture (Non Hindus are not
allowed). A visit to the beach will also be agreeable. Overnight stay at the
hotel.
Day
- 11 : Puri Kolkata
After breakfast day at leisure. Checkout at 1200 hrs. Evening transfer to
railway station for Kolkata by night train.
Overnight on board train.
Day 12 : Kolkata
Morning on arrival at Kolkata railway station greeting and assistance by our
representative. Transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. In this "City
of Joy" one could visit the Jain Temple, Zoological Gardens, Victoria
Memorial & drive past Howrah Bridge, Dalhousie Square, Fort Williams,
Secretariat Building and Old Court House Street. A visit to Mother Teresa's
Missionaries of Charity would also be interesting.Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day - 13 : Kolkata Onward destination
After breakfast transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
